My first MAC nude lipstick - MAC Cherish ♥

I'm a lipstick junkie. Yeah.... 'read it right. Eversince h.s. days, I started wearing those from Avon and VMV, when I started working I switched to much cheaper drugstore brand like Maybelline. I enjoyed wearing their lipstick lines, but when I discovered (finally!) MAC lipsticks, I am an instant convert.

I love that they have really great lipsticks in terms of quality and colors. I specially love their pink/fuschias and red (I will post them soon!) but I haven't got a chance to own a lipstick that's somewhat nude-ish aside from Angel which I let go already because it's too light and doesn't suit me. Out of boredom (and work stress) I searched for a good nude color that will suit my skin and wouldn't wash me out. I read Peachstock, Half N' Half, Hue, Blankety, Modesty, Kinda Sexy. Shy Girl, Honeylove and Cherish are good ones. So, there I am again, the impulsive buyer in me immediately grab one from Carefreeshopper as she also informed me that the "shade" that I requested is already available! yay! Upon opening the tube, my initial reaction was: "Great. This will wash me out :(" but that reaction changed when I wear it on my lips. I can say that it delivered the color that I expected it to be! :D Cherish is a muted peachy nude-beige with a tiny hint of pink on it and has a Satin formula. (It's my 3rd favorite formulation from Mac. Amplified and Matte were ahead).The color is just right for my taste. It has this pretty impact that even if I use this alone together with a well shaped brow and mascara, it still gave an impression. :) It made me look sophisticated but in a more natural way. I really love this color and I swear I will get another nude lipstick if I had the chance 'coz I'm totally hooked! ♥

Nars Deep Throat

Wet N' Wild eye and brow liner in Taupe for nose contour.

 

 

Pros:

If you're on on the lookout for a nice peachy-beige-pink nude lipstick, this is it.

Has a creamy and smooth texture but doesn't settle on lines of my lips.

MAC is MAC. Great buy for a good quality lipstick.

Makes me look sophisticated. (uhurm!hehe)

It looks good on my skin tone.

 

 

Cons:

Pricey. Costs Php 1000.00 a tube at MAC counters, Php850-995 at online sellers.

Lasts only 4 hours on me since it's a Satin formula and I need to re-apply after drinking/eating.

 

 

All in all, I still love MAC Cherish hence the formulation. ♥
